Ignore details early on

While doing iBiyahe and OC-ing on its login/sign-up page, I remembered this post of Jason Fried on the 37signals blog.

How often have you found yourself stuck on a single design or code element for a whole day? How often have you realized that the progress you made today wasn’t real progress? This happens when you focus on details too early in the process. There’s plenty of time to be a perfectionist. Just do it later.

This was taken from a book published by 37signals, ‘Getting Real – The smarter, faster, easier way to build a successful web application‘.

But then again, I don’t want to start incurring technical debt, so I thought I have to keep OC-ing. I never like debt, in any form. :D

Then I realized, I’m actually over-thinking here.

Mr Coding Horror said technical debts can be slowly paid anyway, read this. So I guess I have to go eat some snacks for now and then move on to the next item for iBiyahe.
